Maybe I shouldn't be associating coffee with prescription psychiatric drugs, but this makes me think of the discussion we had in class about how using chemicals to alter your brain can be like a sledgehammer, generating side effects, doing more to your brain than you use them for. Does the sledgehammer idea apply to caffeine? I imagine so because it is a psychoactive drug.
This video makes it seem like every healthy person should be moderately consuming coffee daily. What are the adverse effects to consider?
